Plant and Animal Cells

Today we look at what Mr. Ripplinger's cheeks look like on a microscopic level!  Only one student was semi-grossed-out.  The rest were enthralled! :)  We also looked at other animal cells and tissues as well as plant parts.  Quite the exciting day! If you were absent, today is a day you will have to make up after school.  I can't let you take home a microscope - sorry.

Cell City!

The organelles inside a cell work a lot like a city.  Each part has its specific responsibility and they correspond quite well.

Cells!

We started our new unit today.  We introduced it with a Bill Nye and some notes. :)  Here is the link to the Bill Nye and you'll have to get the notes from me if you were absent.
